Shaun looks like he needs a CapriSun.
I agree that “Last of the Greats” is still going strong, but what is with the art? Pages 2 & 3 look like the artist gave up on putting in any details.
I was happily surprised that “The Defenders” was good. They gave a very short summary on the villian; Is it a carry-over from Fear Itself (which I didn’t read)?
“Valen the Outcast” was another book that I think I will keep an eye on. When I first started reading this issue, I though maybe I missed a mini-series due to the book jumping right into the middle of the story. But they gave bits and pieces here and there to fill in the blanks; it wouldn’t suprise me if they had flashback scenes in later issues.
The Boys – Garth Ennis cannot top his greatest super-hero name….Dog Welder
You guys didn’t cover “Jessica Blood” and I don’t blame you. The art isn’t too bad, but the writing just seems like the writer was trying to hard to emulate Ennis’ writing. Maybe I should give it more time, but I probably won’t.
The reason you didn’t cover Jessica Blood because it is a rare comic about Jennifer Blood’s less successful sister………
