Buy/Bid – Cable & Deadpool #50

Buy/Bid – Edge of Venomverse #5

Buy/Bid – Incredible Hulk #340

Buy/Bid – Weapon X #7

The Venom mash-up series continues in Edge Of Venomverse #5 this week. Deadpool + Venom = Venompool. The one thing we absolutely believe is a bit cringe-worthy are the names these Venom mash-ups are receiving. Venompool just doesn’t sound right. Well neither did Gwenpool, but she got her own book, so what are we talking about? Go Venompool! Oh, just in case you didn’t know, the first Venom/Deadpool mash-up occurred in Cable & Deadpool #50 (2008). And yes of course we gave our fans a heads up when that book was $15. If you find this comic for $15 now, grab it. But you won’t, so don’t bother looking for it.
Click on the RED links, Images or the comic cover to buy/bid from All available sellers on Ebay.
We’re not too sure what we’re in for with the new release Weapon X #7. The cover looks ultra intriguing as we will assume we are getting more Weapon H, but the solicit suggests we may get an experimental character(s) popping up, so be on top of this book just in case. And this cover is definitely an inspired cover by Skan from Todd McFarlane’s Incredible Hulk #340 (1988).

Buy/Bid – Detective Comics #963

Buy/Bid – Detective Comics #608

Buy/Bid – Darth Vader #1

Buy/Bid – Dr. Aphra Annual #1

Speaking of continuations, Marvel’s Generations series keeps pace in bringing their new version hero and teaming them up with their predecessor. This week it’s Generations: The Unworthy Thor & The Mighty Thor #1. Writer Jason Aaron and artist Mahmud A. Asrar.
Star Wars: Doctor Aphra Annual #1 features a semi-origin approach towards the Wookie character Black Krrsantan. Written by Kieron Gillen and art by Marc Laming. Black Krrsantan first appeared in Star Wars Darth Vader #1.
Click on the RED links, Images or the comic cover to buy/bid from All available sellers on Ebay.
Daken makes an appearance in Iceman #4. This will be the first time in some while we’ve seen Daken outside of a Wolverine book. Since 2014’s Uncanny Avengers #22.
Secret Empire #9 disguises a character on its cover in a black shadow ‘CLASSIFIED’. Who could it be? As Marvel slowly eases the fanboy away from that ledge. Cap will be back, your worry and protest will be over soon.

Buy/Bid – Nightwing New Order

Buy/Bid – Iceman #4

Buy/Bid – Secret Empire #9

The latest Hot Picks comes at you this week with some old charcters coming back, old creators, a new event and a new creative team. Click ahead and enjoy!

spidermanbatman_1995.gif
jla38.gifThis week Justice League of America gets a new teamsuperman80pagegiant_2000.gif member. Not a teammember with special powers, a member with the power of a pencil. Mark Bagley takes over the art duties for the ‘new era’ in the Justice League team! This isn’t the first time that Mark has had a crack at any of the Justice dudes. Go back to 1995 to see Mark drawing Batman in the one shot crossover Spider-Man & Batman. His first crack at Superman came some 5 years later in Superman 80 page Giant. You could get either one of these at cover price. Sticking to the Batman for a little bit, Azrael is coming back again. I really wish Joe Quesada was drawing the new Azrael#1 book like he used to back in the day. Batman: Sword of Azrael #1batman_swordofazrael1_1992.gif from 1992 was the debut Azrael, Joe Q was the one who brought him into the
DC
azrael1.gifUniverse and it seems DChas been trying to get this hot character going for
many years after his once ‘hot status’, much like the character Lobo was for
them at one time. So pick up the back issue of Azrael before you pick up the
new number one issue this week to see how everything got started for Mr. AZ.

incrediblehulk603.gifA family get together is in order this week. It’s a first meeting ofMarvel’s youngest go to characters since X-23. Skaar and Daken face off for the first time in a meeting that has been a little overdue. We all remember Incredible Hulk #181. Will this issue be a 181? No mightyavengers30.gifway, not even close. Will this issue be of ‘some’ significance because it’s the first meeting of Marvel’s next biggest characters? This is a yes.
Hey anyone want to see just about every Avenger in every single Marvel book in ONE book? You get your chance in Mighty Avengers #30. Every Avenger on every team makes an appearance in this issue including The Dark Avengers. Avenger fans Assemble!
angelvsfrankenstein.gifJohn Byrne has a hand in many of the characters mentioned in this week’s Hot Picks. Love him or hate him, he’s an icon in the comic bookcasperandthespectrals1.gifindustry. Everything from his mini Hulk run, Avengers and the Superman:Man of Steel run. He’s done it all and the man could crank out comics like no other can. So that said, love him or hate him, you have to respect the guy for what he has brought to the comic industry. Why all of the John Byrne talk you ask? Well he’s come back to write and draw the new IDW one shot comic Angel vs. Frankenstein! Very cool and very comic book friendly. Another friendly comic will be making a comeback this week. Catch everyone’s favorite Friendly ghost in Casper and the Spectrals #1. It’s been a while since we have seen this ghost around. Look for Ardden Entertainment to score nice sales on this comic. Then look for a children’s cartoon, the toys, the movie and you get where this is going. Casper will be a hot commodity again so be prepared to see lots of him in the months and years to come.
invincible67.gifSo what’s a week without an event? No not from the big 2, but Image is up this
time.
Image United promises to be the largest event in Image comic’s short history (17 years to be exact). Pick up a prelude to this event in Invincible #67. If
this Image storyline becomes as big as the buzz surrounding it, this would be the issue to have.

Skaar is coming!! Therapy is in order for the emotionally scarred son of Hulk, but until he gets that let’s all watch him beat up the entire Marvel Universe and his daddy!

skaarsonofhulk.gifSkaar: Son of Hulk #11  Is there a bigger character coming up the
ranks in the Marvel Universe? Absolutely 100 percent…..No. Don’t try the Daken
card here. Skaar is a complex character that will in fact sustain the test of
time. Daken, let’s just say X-23. Nuff said. Skaar’s birth basically created an
extension of the Marvel Universe. Yes, Greg Pak has quietly put together an
entire extension of the MU that will probably be touched on for years to come.
It seems like every week InvestComics is saying to get the first appearance of
this bastard child. Cannot stress this enough Investors, get Skaar’s first
appearance! When Skaar begins his beat down of just about everybody in the MU, look for the word to get out that this dude is for real. The second and third
prints will start, the buzz will start and you must start looking for that WWH
#5
issue now!

Batman & Robin # 1
While Marvel puts to rest their Ultimate line (for now), DC is starting
up theirs. Yes DC has tried their version of the Ultimate line already, the
All-Star line. That worked a little bit, and then just faded away. So what to
do next you ask? Well revamp and give comic fans a solicit that reads ‘The
Newest Era of The Dark Knight Begins Here!’ Wow and wow again. So let’s roll
with this okay. Put together Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely of the ‘All-Star
Superman’ and ‘New X-Men’ runs. Then throw out a beauty of a variant by J.G.
Jones that is going to be SO rare in terms of ratio that some parts of ebay and
comic shops have this thing coming in at $500 a pop! What is that about?? It’s
an all new Batman & Robin under the costumes, a superstar team of Morrison
and Quitely and a variant that is selling for a ridiculous amount of money.
What could possibly go wrong here? DC that’s what….
