InvestComics Spider-Man Checklist – Part 1 – Click Image

Writer Peter David and artist Mark Bagley bring the fan favorite clone Ben Reilly into his own on-going series; Ben Reilly: The Scarlet Spider #1. Ben Reilly has a few ‘first appearances’ to look at. Amazing Spider-Man #149 (1975) is the first Spider-Clone appearance. It also happens to be Gwen Stacy’s clone origin as well. Maybe we’ll get a Spider-Gwen clone one day and this comic will be in even more demand. Web of Spider-Man #118 (1994); First appearance as Scarlet Spider. The first appearance as Spider-Man; Sensational Spider-Man #0 (1996). That’s it, those are key Ben Reilly books. If you truly believe in this character, these are the books to own. There is a funny thing we noticed about the Mark Bagley (regular cover). Some of the solicits have Scarlet Spider with a hood on and some don’t. Is this a thing? Maybe just an update of the cover solicits (with or without the hood). Either way, maybe be on the look-out for it?

Click on the RED links, Images or the comic cover to buy/bid from All available sellers on Ebay.

Old Man Logan ‘Wolverine’ continues revisiting his past and dealing with the present as he takes on Wendigo and The Hulk for old times sake. Old Man Logan #22, written by Jeff Lemire and art by Eric Nguyen. The cover(s) from this storyline are depicting the old comics from yesteryear behind Wolverine and we love it. Cover for Old Man Logan #22 from Andrea Sorrentino.

DC and Dynamite Entertainment team up as Batman teams up with The Shadow this Wednesday. Writer’s Scott Snyder/Steve Orlando and artist Riley Rossmo are on the case. The two legendary comic characters reunite for the first time since a team-up stint in 1974’s Batman #259. They teamed up for the first time ever in Batman #253 (1973). Two classic books which would make for a nice addition to your collection. Batman The Shadow #1 will feature a first appearance of a new villain. More of a reason to check out this comic.

The 4 part ‘The Button’ story continues this week in Flash #21 (part 2). While we love the lenticular cover(s), we repeat, we love the lenticular cover(s), be careful of the speculative nonsense that may follow it from various sources getting on the hype train. Do not over pay for these covers. We have explained these reasons regarding variant comic book covers (special covers) throughout our Hot Picks post within the last couple of years, but in case you missed it, here it goes again. Again, we love the variant covers as much as the next fan that appreciates great art, but there is one thing a collector must keep in mind when buying the variant lenticular cover(s) coming out as part of the DC gimmick this week. The guts. If the inside of this comic has no significance within the grand scope of things for the next 2 to 5 years, then guess what? You have a pretty cover……that’s it. Again, if you like a variant cover, you should buy it, We encourage it because nice art is nice art, we get that, but do not have the thinking you are ‘investing’ or speculating on a comic that will serve any relevance in years to come. We pointed out in many of our articles to do the grading test with CGC and CBCS. If you see a nice variant cover (signed maybe too?) that is ‘rare’ and has an asking price of $150 or $300 or even $75, you should look at the top right hand corner of the graded book. Shift the eyes there. Empty? Blank? Does it say ‘Joker appearance’? ‘Harley Quinn appearance’? Well if your modern variant says only that or something similar and not ‘First appearance’ or ‘Cameo (first appearance)’, then you have been duped into the hype market. A ‘rare’ modern variant cover or a special glow in the dark/3D/lenticular comic come with the SAME guts as 10,000 other comics with a ‘regular’ cover and is basically a non-factor in the grand scheme of things. If there was a ‘rare’ modern variant/glow in the dark/lenticular of New Mutants #98, well you’re on to something. The guts have significance. The Flash #21 Lenticular cover, if it’s graded a 9.8, guess what you have, you have a neat gimmick cover that will probably state in the right hand corner; ‘The Button story begins. Jason Fabok Lenticular cover.’ (This of course is all on assuming that there is ‘no significant’ feature in this book.) As a speculator, if you’re willing to pluck down serious cash for a 9.8, then by all means do so if you think the resale value will exceed what you paid for it. If you’re looking for a collector’s piece to just hold onto, get it signed and graded yourself and enjoy it. The variant market is completely skewed right now. The horse blinders are on. Collectors of modern books must refocus. The guts, the guts matter, not just a nice cover when it comes to resale value. A nice cover will rarely sustain or outrun the first appearance book or a book of significance. Some may say, but what about the Watchmen element being thrown into the DCU right now regarding Flash #21? Isn’t that a big factor? Well yes and no. Yes for now and no for longevity. Do you really think DC will hold this Watchmen twist into its lure? Another ‘relaunch’ in 4 years perhaps? If you think this may not happen, you must be new to this sport. The guts, the guts, the guts. The end.

DC continues to bring back many characters from obscurity. This week The Ray begins his own series in Justice League Of America The Ray #1. His first appearance was in his self titled book; The Ray #1 in 1992. This comic can be found for a couple of bucks on Ebay. Click that link and buy yourself a copy now if you believe in the Ray making a comeback. Or just buy it because Joe Quesada penciled the original series and then returned in 1994’s Ray “Rebirth” to do a few covers.
Staying on topic here about characters making their return, judging a book by its cover Superman #15 this Wednesday, Superdemon from Earth 13 looks to make his return. He first cameo appeared unnamed in Superman Beyond 3D #1 (2008). Superdemon reemerged on the variant cover of Multiversity Society Of Super-Heroes #1 (2014) by Frazer Irving. He was finally mentioned and appeared by the name ‘Superdemon’ in The Multiversity #2 (2014). And that is the Whole Superdemon checklist!
….And one more DC character coming back this week; Kamandi. With the release of Kamandi Challenge Special #1, DC will reprint Kamandi, The Last Boy On Earth #32 (1975) to its entirety. Here’s the thing with the new Kamandi book. It has a cover price of $7.99. The Kamandi, The Last Boy On Earth #32 (1975) on Ebay, the original, can be purchased at the same price or a few buck more. Why not get THAT instead of the new one?? It’s the same exact book, but better. It has the original Jack Kirby pencils, story and cover. This comic also has the retelling of Kamandi’s origin. Yes, get the original, stop being silly.

Many first will occur with the new character Mosaic from Marvel. Although we’re not completely up on our Mosaic guidebook, but Marvel says that in Mosaic #4, his first encounter with a super-hero occurs. That first hero is Spider-Man.
The biggest romance in comics in a long time continues in Spider-Gwen #16, with a stellar Robbi Rodriguez variant cover. Crossover storyline; ‘Sitting In A Tree’ part two.
Amazing Spider-Man #23 cover art Alex Ross gets a thumbs up from us. Gwen Stacy joins the bad guys? Read and find out.
Although an amazing cover by Francesco Mattina on Gamora #2, it looks like She-Hulk no?
Marvel will put the new Iron Man; Riri Williams against a seriously big time villain yet to be announced in Invincible Iron Man #3. The Stefano Caselli cover is on point.
The Captain Marvel character gets a new start….again. Mighty Captain Marvel #1, written by Margaret Stohl and art from Ramon Rosanas.

It’s been a long while since monster comics dominated the genre. At one point dinosaurs, mummies, vampires and a bevy of other monster type characters were the ‘go to’ for a sale within the industry. In today’s market, Devil Dinosaur is teaming with Moon Girl and that seems to be going well, no? This Wednesday Marvel will attempt to test this market to see if there is in fact a market for monster books. As we have stated in previous Hot Picks years ago and recently, Disney (Marvel) has yet to touch on two comic book genre’s on the big screen and television. Water and horror/monster comics. Enter one of those test markets this Wednesday with Monsters Unleashed #1. Creative firepower accompanies this book; writer Cullen Bunn and artist Steve McNiven. Should be a fun ride.

InvestComics Indie Hot Picks…..

There are two types of marketing strategies in this world. There is marketing and then there is marketing. If you fall into the latter, you understand why we do most of the things we do around here. That said, there are certain companies that understand the process and some that don’t. Valiant Entertainment release their comic Divinity III Aric #1 this Wednesday with many critics complaining and harassing on various boards around the internet. Why you may ask? Well we will do a show and tell. Take a look at four of the five covers being released in this article. What do you see? Exactly. Valiant had a chance to possibly change things, but they declined to do so. Good for them. Although very similar, It’s not the same. Let fans talk and create that buzz, get them talking, sharing, complaining, commenting, it’s all a moot point. Valiant wins here no matter what. They got your attention and you’re talking about it. It’s all free publicity. It’s marketing 101 right here. Good stuff. And oh yes, we’re quite confident too that Valiant will back up their mini comic book fan mutiny against there character lookalike with a ridiculously fabulous story from Joe Harris. Art by David LaFuente.

There will in fact (guaranteed) to be some missed opportunities. The speculator not only has to be accountable forspeculative their gains and loses, but their own research as well. If the speculator is here with the thought that InvestComics will pick every comic that hits, even ones that sells out weeks later or become hot after the weekly article; is mistakenly off. This is in fact an entertainment/speculative site. Bottom line though, we have and always will be the best speculative web site on the planet.

Howard_the_Duck_1_InvestComicsSo what makes Detective Comics Endgame #1 more of a standout than Howard the Duck #1 this week? Why even compare them really? No reason, just because. Well maybe because Marvel is pushing this C list character down our throats with ten variants at last count? And the Detective book has one awesome regular cover. Of course the comic book collecting life isn’t all about cover though, right? It is in fact though the first appealing thing one sees, so the marketing must captivate the eye and sell it first. Make that person WANT to pick up that comic. So I ask the question, one sees all bazillion of the Howard the Duck #1 variants and then one sees the Detective Comics Endgame #1 sitting on the shelf. Besides your shop having your books displayed in alphabetical order, in which the first book you probably will see is the Batman book, which would you be so inclined to pick up and thumb through first? Maybe some do pick up the Howard book first, but the majority will probably gravitate towards that awesome Rafael Albuquerque cover for Detective Comics Endgame #1. Well that’s all about the outside, what about the inside? One book is about a Private Investigator that is a umm….a duck and the other is about a new group of teenagers kicking some as* in Gotham to save it from being overrun by Jokerized victims. Maybe you still like the Howard book. The Howard book will be a fun read though, so get it for at least that reason! Both are cool. So don’t get all hurt that I’m not that high on the Howard book. Speculation = opinion.

Detective_Comics_Endgame_1_InvestComics Avengers_195_InvestComics

Not that owning the Fear #19 (1976) book (first appearance of Howard the Duck) is a bad thing, but if you’re in the market to buy a good first appearance for $250 or $500 dollars, there are other books to seriously consider. Ask yourself this. Would Disney really want to jeopardize/replace the lure of Donald Duck with a wise cracking, cigar smoking duck? I highly doubt they want to throw Howard in our faces as the duck to really remember and constantly have questions from children to adults saying, “Is that Donald Duck?”. Um no. Disney would not want this. Why do you think there is no real talk about a cartoon or a movie pertaining to Howard? For this reason. Too close to Donald. Maybe someday Disney will bite the bullet and release a Howard cartoon or movie, but as for right now it’s not happening. Maybe a Howard the Duck comic book is a feeler to see what sort of attention it gets? Then maybe we’ll get some real news of something? This speculator doesn’t think we’ll see anything for some time. The Donald lure is way more important to Disney right now than destroying the very fabric of Disneyland or anything pertaining to Donald with people constantly mistaking Donald for Howard. By Avengers_196_InvestComicscomparison, will we ever see a nasty mouse character created within the Marvel U that looks very similar to the Big Mouse with an attitude and possible cigar? The short answer is no. Howard will stay where he is right now and Disney is very content with that. Buy Detective Comics Endgame #1, looks like a winner. (Not that many floating on Ebay right now. Click the link and get yours if you want it!). Story sounds good, good creative team, possible intro to a new team and that cover……

CLICK the RED Links and go straight to Ebay.Buy or Bid on the comics right now within this article!

Instead of paying so much for a Fear #19 comic, why not check out who Ant-Man is dealing with in Ant-Man #3. Although Taskmaster is not in comparison to Howard as far as notability and pricing as far as first appearances go, his (cameo) in Avengers #195 from 1980 is a nice book. Recommended by InvestComics a few years ago when it was a $7 book, it has since climbed into a decent area and is still very affordable at this point. His first “full appearance” is in Avengers #196. Rumors surround Taskmaster as a possible movie appearance from time to time as does the possible breakout ability he has as well. Nothing of either end really….yet? Either way, InvestComics is still high on this comic after years of recommending it. Be sure to click the RED link to bounce over to Ebay (it’ll open in a new window, leaving your page right here!) to throw a bid down or a buy it now. A George Perez book with upside here. Be forewarned, various grades and pricing on Ebay for Avengers #195 are very sporadic.

Bloodshot_6_InvestComics Ninjak_1_InvestComicsDepending on how long you’ve been a speculator, you will remember the Valiant comics craze. Ask a seasoned veteran about the ridiculous Valiant pricing at one time and listen to how many people lost a tremendous amount of money in these books. Now flash to 2015 and you will see that the speculator just ain’t going for that again! Many new Valiant comics have gotten a new life (relaunched) on the label, but the back issue market for these books from which these characters first appeared have done nil. So with that, Ninjak #1 will reappear in his own title. Ninjak first appeared in Bloodshot #6 back in 1993. If you click the red link here, that Bloodshot #6 (see the red link again!) can be yours, a NM for only $1.79. My my, how times have changed.

As there is most weeks, there is always an Image Comic to keep an eye out on. This week it’s Southern Cross #1. (Only 10 of these now on Ebay with a couple of variants). An interesting story with only one variant cover to show for. The variant is from Tula Lotay. She’s been around a couple of years, but is making her presence known. Watch for this newbie as she comes up the ranks with the Babs Tarr’s, Stacey Lee’s, Fiona Staples‘ of the world. Notice a trend here? Just saying. And very awesome.

Arkham_Knight_1.InvestComicsA video game adaptation comics really surmount to much within the aftermarket, but they are still great nonetheless. Check out the new Batman Arkham Knight #1 as it leads up to the new video game release. The Gary Frank variant is sold out already. It is a beauty too! Get it on Ebay right now if you want! That Red Link! Helping everyone out here!

The Disney spiteful demise of the Fantastic Four comic is almost here. The next to last issue promises lots of cool things. Fantastic Four #644; the end is near.

CLICK the RED Links and go straight to Ebay.Buy or Bid on the comics right now within this article!

Spider-Gwen will continue her “torrid” pace of popularity this week. Will number two sell out too? How long will the madness for Edge of Spider-Verse #2 continue for? (Insert sarcasm here) Only 230 listings at the present moment. Will Spider-Gwen be the next Harley? Will she be the Howard the Duck? Time will tell! And speaking of Spider-Verse, Amazing Spider-Man #16 name drops Spider-Verse within its solicit this week. Anything going to pop up here? Will Marvel ever let Spider-Verse go already? Spidey also has Amazing Spider-Man Special #1 coming out. Cool read here, nice Adam Kubert variant and who knows what can pop up here too?

Check out the pages of Ms. Marvel #13, may have an intro. Cool book anyways.

A few number one issues to definitely check out this week. Surface #1 from Image Comics. Spawn fans rejoice, Spawn Resurrection #1 will not only be a new beginning, but a Todd McFarlane variant will come along for the ride. The wildly successful Sixth Gun will begin anew with Sixth Gun Dust to Dust #1. Creator Cullen Bunn of this series also has another book coming this week; Hellbreak #1. Great stuff here. Bill and Ted’s Most Triumphant Return #1 from Boom Studios is a fun book. Bill and Ted originally made their comic book debut in 1989’s Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure Movie Adaptation #1 from DC Comics.

Postal #2 from Image hits this week with a very cool variant. Postal #1 showed some nice sales. Will the series pick up some more steam?

InvestComics Hot Picks – New Release Comics on 2/18/15

Click on any of the RED links to go directly to Ebay to bid/purchase any books in this article. Maybe your shop under ordered or simply does not have the books within this article. InvestComics saves you the time of doing the search and brings you right to your target on Ebay.

Shock_Pop_Con_2015_InvestComicsInvestComics is fresh back from the very first comic show down in south Florida; Shock Pop Comic Con. Check out the extensive coverage InvestComics provided on its social media outlets. Click on the Press badge picture to the right to see some of the photo on the InvestComics Facebook page and also to be linked to the Shock Pop Comic Con Facebook page as well. Some awesome pictures to check out! The show was full of great guest and it was also a great place to get some comics witnessed by Capital Grading Services too. Capital Grading Services will be sharing some of the books that were verified, so stay tuned for that. A few nice ones coming up.

In the Meantime, be sure to head on over to the InvestComics Ebay page to check out some of the Capital Grading Services comics that are on consignment there. A Star Wars #1 blank variant with 6 sketches/signatures with a starting bid of only $99. Also starting at $99 bids are Aquaman #1 (New 52) graded/signed by Ivan Reis and Joe Prado and Sensational Wonder Woman #1 graded/signed by Gail Simone. Go right HERE to the InvestComics Ebay page to place a bid or buy it now.

Silk #1, buy it! For months and months and months now InvestComics has been high on the character Silk. We said that if you had to choose between the new Spider-Gwen or Silk, to choose Silk. If your heart fluttered or you got in the slightest bit angry about that statement, please stop reading this article and go argue with some Fanboy’s at your local comic shop who would win in a fight Gwen or Silk. Relax please. In no way shape or form is InvestComics saying that Gwen will not be successful. Never came out of these articles here. Never will. So what will I say to go out on a limb? Nothing too bad to disrupt the balance of the nerd universe, but I will say that in the long run, (my speculative call here; an opinion) Silk will have more to offer as far as character development goes. Gwen’s story is what it is. She was dead, now she’s not. Her story isn’t even in the depth’s of reality. Let me remind you, I’m not saying this is a horrible thing, it’s not actually, it’s a fun story. But, the Silk story may have more deepness/richness to it for years to come. One of the key components of Silk is the characters ethnicity. This alone is enough to make one realize the rareness and the possible complexity of what may come for Silk. Maybe not right away, but it may some day. Speculation here…..

Amazing_SpiderMan_1_Captail_Grading_Services_InvestComics_Dan_Slott Amazing_SpiderMan_4_Silk_InvestComics Silk_1_InvestComics Silk_1_Variant_Stacey_Lee_InvestComics

Up and coming sensational creator Stacey Lee will start us off on the new era of Silk with issue number one. Stacey Lee is a phenomenal artist. A force to be reckoned with within the industry. Check out her web page right HERE and see some of the amazing things she has done so far in her short career. One of her first published comics is Steed and Mrs. Peel: We’re Needed #1 from Boom Studios.

STK645327So with the massive Silk love this week, (Gwen will have her turn next week) InvestComics gave you a heads up on Amazing Spider-Man #1. This issue featured the first appearance of Cindy Moon. It wasn’t until Amazing Spider-Man #4 the we saw Cindy Moon as Silk. I told you to buy these comics a very long time ago. I’m telling you to buy these comics now too. Click on the links and it will bring you to Ebay so that you can bid or buy your copies right away.

One more positive note here with the new Silk #1 book coming this Wednesday. There are only a few covers accompanying the debut here. No letter K variant, or letter S, nope just up to the letter D here, as in the fourth letter in the alphabet. Click the red link to buy your variant now. InvestComics loves Silk and the potential of the character. We love Gwen too, but Silk for the longevity win here.

….And speaking of no crazy variant cover run, you know what book looks attractive for the sole purpose of having just ONE cover and looking like an awesome story? Secret Identities #1 from Image Comics. Expect some buzz with this new TEAM book from Image. And only one cover too? Yep. As a speculator I like this this. No hunting down that variant that will give you the most bang for your buck.

Justice_League_Magog_InvestComics Kingdom_Come_InvestComics Magog_InvestComics

With the recent announcement of Marvel Studios and Sony reaching an agreement to have Spider-Man crossover into their respective studio films, much of the comic book world immediately brought up Miles Morales as the potential replacement instead of having Peter star as the new Spidey. This probably is not going to happen, but a nice thought nonetheless. However, this week within Miles Morales’ comic book, he will show off a new spider power. This is pretty cool and a book to definitely keep an eye out on. Miles Morales Ultimate Spider-Man #10!

How about Grant Morrison and Jim Lee teaming up on Multiversity Mastermen #1!? That’s awesome sauce right here. Most won’t care that DC’s Multiversity is as confusing and convoluted as it gets. This is Morrison and Lee in the same book!

Jimmy_Amanda_InvestComicsRobin_Action_Comics_InvestComicsThe Bat books are an interesting bunch this week. Check out that cool homage cover to Batman and Robin #39. Instead of Superman it’s Robin? Okay. Batman Superman #19 variant cover was done by J.G Jones. Not only is the cover totally killer, but it features Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner on it! Get this comic triple signed and graded. You’ll without a doubt have a winner on your hands. And the last of the Bat books is Batwoman #39. Who is Red Alice? Find out this week.

David and Meredith Finch continue to make the Wonder Woman comic and character very relevant again. Check out Wonder Woman #39 as the Finch team introduces a new character.

Staying on topic about Wonder Woman, Superman Wonder Woman #16 introduces Magog into the New 52 universe. Besides Darkseid and or Doomsday possibly causing all sorts of issues for the Justice League of America on the big screen, Magog would be a distant third to fill in as the big bad wolf. His first appearance was in Kingdom Come #1 1996. He then reappeared in Justice Society Of America #18 in 2008. A bad as* villain with nothing but upside. Click the links and get your first appearances of Magog now.

Wonder_Woman_39_InvestComics Secret_Indentities_1_InvestComicsWith all the talk of a female dominate week; Silk, Gwen, Wonder Woman, Batwoman, Red Alice, why not also check out All New Captain America #4 too. A mysterious female character returns from the past. Who will it be? Read the comic and find out.

Something big will happen within the pages of Silver Surfer #9. Now that Spider-Verse is over, It’s time for fans to really pay attention to what writer Dan Slott has been up to during his Silver Surfer run.

Check out Sparks Nevada Marshal On Mars #1 from Image Comics. Looks like a fun read. Ei8ht Outcast #1 has nothing to do with the Kirkman Outcast title. This one is from Dark Horse and looks interesting. As Dr. Strange becomes more of a reality onto the big screeen, expect to see lots and lots of magic/mystic books like King Mandrake Magician #1 (Dynamite Entertainment).

And last but not least. Disney will have the new Guardians of the Galaxy cartoon coming soon, but until then we can all enjoy Marvel Universe Guardians of the Galaxy #1. A prequel to the cartoon.

Remember to click on any of the RED links to go directly to Ebay to bid/purchase any books that your local shop has maybe under ordered or simply does not have. InvestComics saves you the time of doing the search and brings you right to your target on Ebay.

InvestComics Hot Picks – New Release Comics on 1/21/15

Wonder_Woman_InvestComicsStay tuned to InvestComics for a very special announcement on our Social Media outlets tomorrow at 1:30pm Eastern time. This is very big, so be sure to check it out!

Speaking of Social Media, be sure to join our “Investing in Comics 101 – IC Poet Society” Facebook page right HERE. There are some amazing nuggets being shared on there almost daily. Thanks to members like Giles Hargraves, Jamie Wright, Gary Conerly, Andres Sandoval, Jeremy Courtney, Billy Precht and a host of others. (If your name is not here, it was inadvertent, not intended to forget, just listing some members). Wouldn’t you like to be in the “know”? So ask to join the IC Poet Society and the door will open to a world full of fantastic speculation and fun.

As we have been saying for a couple of months now, changes are coming to the InvestComics website that will be tremendous. We are working behind the scenes to make a new world for all InvestComics fans to enjoy and benefit from. For many many years InvestComics has brought the luxury of giving fans their speculation information from a week to week basis without missing a beat and in return helping the speculator make money. Lots of it. The fans that understand the value of this information will benefit greatly. As too the new fan. The new speculator that comes on board will realize quickly how invaluable this information will be to them on a week in week out basis. Stay tuned for the birth of a new hub for speculators.

Our parent company; Capital Grading Services came back from the Miami Magic Con this weekend. There are some nice books that came out of there that are headed to CBCS. Two books in particular are ONE of a kind books that will have the grading community and fans of this genre buzzing. A photo of those books will go up soon. Truly is awesome. We cannot wait to share it with the Capital Grading Services and InvestComics fans.

Spider-Verse_InvestComics

We need not reiterate on here about the Spider-Verse saga going on, but there are constantly new speculators and readers coming to InvestComics so we will touch on it again. For those of you who are regular visitors here, listen up again. Buy anything Spider-Verse. Got it? That’s it. Oh yes, you want an explanation right? The reason is simple. There is one constant with the Spider-Verse books. Introductions and re-introductions of new Spider-Man characters almost every week. Last week it was Punk Spider-Man in Spider-Verse #2. Of course InvestComics was all over that one. Not knowing that Punk was in there, but letting the speculator know that they must buy it. We did poke fun of the idea of Gwen being a “spider-person”, but we made it a point to point it out to our readers! And just for the record, we still think it’s silly, nice turnover money, but our longer term money is on Silk. See how much we love the character Silk in previous articles here on InvestComics. So getting back on topic here, Amazing Spider-Man (2014 3rd Series) #13 will feature every single Spider-Man character in one comic. That’s boss. Who knows what will be happening in these pages? A quick cameo of a new spidey that strikes a cord with fans or maybe a reintroduction that does the same. Anything is possible within the Spider-Verse saga. Any book, any week. It’s a speculator and readers dream here. Fantastic fun to read and fantastic book(s) to speculate on. And don’t forget about Spider-Verse Team Up (2014) #3 this week too!

Batman_InvestComics_Bluebird

The Batman Eternal (2014) #42 book is slated for the debut of Bluebird. Maybe the debut in the Batman Eternal universe, but she actually first appeared in Batman #28 New 52. She’s kind of awesome too.

Batman_and_Robin_InvestComics Winter_Soldier_InvestComicsLast issue in Wonder Woman #37 was the debut of the new Donna Troy on the last page. David Finch and Meredith Finch are turning things around for this title. This week we get more of new Donna Troy in Wonder Woman (2011 4th Series) #38. Stay on top on this speculators. Readers are getting their monies worth here, maybe you will too.

Robin Rises: Omega #1 gave us confirmation that Robin may have superpowers now. See more of this story line in this weeks Batman and Robin (2011 2nd Series) #38.

Bucky takes a ride in the Marvel Universe future, 200 years to be exact. Check out Bucky Barnes Winter Soldier (2014) #4. An interesting read here indeed.

1st_Judge_Death_InvestComics Judge_Death_InvestComicsA couple of cool back issues to maybe search out if you’d like. Judge Death first appeared in 2000 AD #149 (1980). He’ll be in Judge Dredd Classics Dark Judges (2014) #1 this week. And the first appearance of Elfquest was in Fantasy Quarterly #1 (1978). Dark Horse will be giving readers Elfquest (2014 Dark Horse) 1 For $1 #1 this Wednesday.

Powers (2014 Icon) 4th Series #1 will forge ahead with its fourth series restart. Ahead of its premiere television series this time. InvestComics has touched on the Powers series a number of times since 2012. Look for a bump in the comics if the TV series does well.

Check out Dark Horse Presents (2014 3rd Series) #6. Matt Kindt and Scott Kolins debut a new space series called PastAways. Sounds like a fun read, you should check it out.

1st_Elfquest_InvestComics Elfquest_1_InvestComicsImage Comics debuts Reyn (2014 Image) #1. This is also a great looking story that collectors should check out. Look for sellouts on this book.

Here are the rest of the fantastic reads and possible speculation books coming this week. Henchmen I Henchbot (2014 Robot Paper) #1, Burning Fields (2014 Boom Studios) #1, Galaxy Quest The Journey Continues (2015 IDW) #1 and Creeple Peeple (2014 IDW) #1.

Invest wisely. Read comics.

InvestComics Hot Picks – New Release Comics on 1/14/15

This Wednesday, comic book collectors will probably witness record breaking history (or an extremely close second). Not so sure a record breaker one could be proud of, but it’s a first. This InvestComics Hot Picks contains the most questions ever posed in one article, so get ready for lots of answers too!

InvestComics_Star_Wars_2015_Marvel

Star Wars (2015 Marvel) #1 will have the most variant covers ever released with its debut. As a regular reader of InvestComics, most of you know we feel about variant covers. A little reminder; variant covers are an awesome addition to the hobby. You go on Wednesday to your local comic shop, see a cover (eye candy) you like and you buy it. No one is forcing you to buy it, but you have an option to purchase it if you’d like. Continuing; are variants really necessary? No they are not. That said, as mentioned, they not only give the customer an option, but it also gives the possibility of an investment. The investment part is where many speculators fail miserable in building their collection. Speculators need be reminded as InvestComics has spoken about time after time that most modern variants will not hold their value. There is however a way to make some very good cash flow on some of them. InvestComics readers know this by following this article each and every week for 9 years now. Buying random variants for $50 or $100 or more because they look pretty will probably have you in red. Getting in the black actually requires some thinking and knowledge when you’re buying modern comics, especially the variants. InvestComics has been here for you regarding these guidelines and we’re going to be here again when the record breaker hits this Wednesday.

Another thing that is said on InvestComics repeatedly is the ridiculousness of the variants. It really is not necessary to have so many variants for any comic book, but here’s the thing. Marvel Comics (Disney) and any other comic company are here to make money and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Money is what keeps the machines rolling. The artist, writers, inkers, colorist, printers, etc all need money. Most comic companies want to deliver the best product they can to their consumer. Another way of reaching a wide audience, creating hype and to make money is to give consumers variant covers. The comic companies are not making $500 on that Joe Quesada Star Wars variant, but they’ll make it on the back end by getting the store owners to order more of the regular variant covers, thus creating the more expensive variant the consumer wants so bad. So in the end, the house always wins and the speculator is left guessing what to gamble on. The question; should I pluck down $200 for a Star Wars #1 variant or shouldn’t I? Long term? Short answer, no way.

What about Star Wars #1 should the speculator know? Well let’s get the first and most important thing out of the way. Buy this comic no matter what because it’s going to be a fun story. It picks up after Star Wars Episode IV The New Hope. We’ve all been down this road before as far as a story picking up within this time frame, however it’s a new spin. Artist John Cassaday and writer Jason Aaron are bringing their A-game. Have you’ve seen the previews? Very impressive.

Now the “other stuff”. When you arrive to your local comic shop you’ll probably notice that one entire section of wall or space where the new comics are will be dedicated to Star Wars #1. The option to purchase one of the gazillion variant covers will be available to you. So many choices, what to do what to do the speculator will ask himself/herself. Well the answer lies within the old expression back on my Wall Street days; Buy low sell high. But in this case it’s going to be a bit of the opposite. Why you ask? Because if you’re going to want to make any sort of money here, a few hundred bucks, you’ll have to buy the more expensive variant, get it signed and graded (must be a 9.8 or higher. MUST) and flip it. You’ll have to flip the comic so fast that the comic grading company’s plastic will still be warm. Can this also be done with the “cheaper” variants? Yes, but there will be very little money there because you and every other speculator will be doing those comics. It’s the $200+ variants that will bring the most for your buck during the crazy short lived aftermarket. Supply will exceed demand.

Why is it that the aftermarket will be short lived? Well, first the supply and demand issue will be a huge factor. Also, the hype of this comic will be the driving force (no pun intended) behind the book. Once the dust clears and speculators realize that this particular Star Wars comic bears no redeeming value, it’s a dump fest. By redeeming value I mean that there is absolutely nothing holding on the INSIDE of the comic to keep its value. Is there a first appearance? Is there a major story plot line that will appear in the new films? Is there an error on a certain variant and recalls will occur? Is there a lawsuit pending for any reason on this comic? Did John Cassaday sneak in a DC character in the background someplace? None of these do not seem likely right? So ask yourself, where does the true value (besides a fantastic read) come in?

So where does the value lie then if any? As already stated, one of the values will be in the more expensive variants. The true value in this lies in the past though. 1977, 1980, and 1986 to be more precise. Here’s the thing. If judgment prevails for the speculator they will take most of that extra money they want to spend on a pretty variant and buy a Marvel Comics Illustrated: Empire Strikes Back (1980). This would be the first true appearance of Boba Fett. How about you get a Star Wars #42 (1980) too? The first appearance of Boba Fett in an actual Star Wars comic. Or even still, how about a Star Wars #68 (1982)? The origin of Boba Fett. The original Star Wars #1 (1977) from Marvel? And how about the RARE last issue (we like rare don’t we?) Star Wars #107 (1986). There are so many other Star Wars comics to invest in for long term as well, do your research, speculate. Here is the thing this speculator is leaning towards, If you feel so inclined to buy a Star Wars Variant, buy a Boba Fett one……

So why the mention of Boba Fett so much? Rumor has it that in-between the new Star Wars films will be a possible Boba Fett film. So why not cash in on this now? Yes the film would be 3 or 4 years out from now if it ever does happen, but buying the first appearance(s) of a character as popular as Boba Fett is always a good thing. Better than pouring money into a variant that will probably meet the same fate as the Death Star.

Buy what you like. One lesson InvestComics will always preach as well. If you like a certain variant and it cost $300, then buy it. If you are tired of seeing the variant covers, stop buying them. It’s your will and right to do so. If you think that variant will sustain its value, then it’s your right to think that too. This speculator will look at the other wall this Wednesday at the comic shop, you know the one. The one with all of the cool Bronze age back issues on it. Boba Fett will be pointing that gun at me daring me to buy that issue for $75. Yes Boba, lets dance for a while. The 2015 party will be short lived.

Doctor_Strange_InvestComicsFor weeks and months InvestComics has given the speculator a heads up about the entire Spider-Verse platform. A great story accompanied by a boatload of introductions and reintroductions. So many that it’s almost impossible to keep up with.Spider-Verse (2014) #2 will be another crazy issue with a ton of things going down inside of it. We cannot stress enough, buy the Spider-Verse comics, cross-overs and all, just like the Gwen book, another character will break-out. The Spider-Verse story is Dan Slott at his finest.

Amazing X-Men (2013) #15 will have Cyttorak as a focal point in part one of The Once And Future Juggernaut. With Dr. Strange being so hot these days, this comic gives us all a great excuse to buy a Doctor book! Check out Dr. Strange, Sorcerer Supreme #44 (1992) for the first appearance of Cyttorak. Although earlier mentions and a stone figure of Cyttorak exist in other comics, this is his first true appearance.

DC Comics will compete with Marvel this week and have their own huge number one debut with Mortal Combat X (2014 DC) #1. Just kidding of course. Seems DC is staying out of the way of Marvel this week. But they forge ahead nonetheless with the release of a Mortal Combat comic. History shows us that Mortal Mortal_Kombat_InvestComicsKombat has always been spelled with a letter K as opposed to a letter C in the word Kombat. A DC solicit error? What gives here? Anyway, DC gave the Mortal Kombat lure a crack once. That occurred in 2008. Now they are back at it again 7 years later. Why? It’s to hype the new game coming out and why not really? Everyone loves a good butt kicking comic don’t they? And just for the record, the first Mortal Kombat comic debuted in 1992 from Midway. It’s a hard get in NM condition. $60+ on Ebay.

Marvel continues their hyperbole with All New Ultimates (2014) #12. A comic that guarantees the “Marvel Comics to end all Marvel Comics”. Check it out! Awesome read here probably.

Secret+Wars_Spider_Man_WWE_SpiderMan_InvestComics….In issue number eight we learned that Miles is an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.? Learn more in Miles Morales Ultimate Spider-Man (2014) #9! Look at that Dale Keown cover to Avengers (2012 5th Series) #40. Thanos is awesome right? No reason to mention this comic other than the awesomeness of the cover.

Oh yes, maybe there actually is a reason to mention that cover. A perfect lead in to checking out the cover to WWE (2013 Papercutz) #11. Boy does that homage cover look familiar!

Thanos_Dale_Keown_InvestComicsSee you soon. May the force be with you.

Bullying_InvestComicsInvestComics Hot Picks – New Release Comics on 1/7/15

If there is one comic you will buy this week it should be Avengers No More Bullying (2014) #1. Not because of the monetary value it brings, but because of the value of life it could bring. Being a statistic of bullying in my life, I cannot stress this enough to buy this comic and share it with your children. Teach them that bullying is unacceptable. Teach them they are not alone. Even if you do not have children, buy it and give it to a child you may know. Buy a few copies and give it to a teacher you may know at a school. Give some to your neighbors who have children, I don’t care. Saving one child’s life due to bullying is a win. Kudos to Marvel for doing this project. It’s a tremendously important topic that needs more addressing. Please buy this. Share it, give it away, pass it on.

Join the crusade against bullying on Facebook right HERE.

A new year means a new beginning. In the case of the comic book world, a new beginning many of us were not really asking for, but we’re receive anyway. Ant-Man (2014 Marvel) #1 will bring Scott Lang (aka Ant-Man) front and center. The comic will come complete with its ridiculous 8 variant covers, which will not be worth squat in the long run. Do not get caught up in the variants here, you will lose money. Get a high grade/signature series and dump it while it’s hot for a little while.

Ant_Man_InvestComics Marvel_Premiere_47_InvestComicsSo not only did fans not ask for this comic, but the movie as well. Not so much asking per say, but a demand. The Ant-Man movie will probably do well (maybe), but what if it doesn’t? Here’s the thing folks, when will the Marvel Studios winning streak stop? Not trying to be a negative Nancy here, just a realist. One of these years, Marvel will not make back its money from one of their films. What happens then? The mouse will not be a happy camper that’s for sure. Disney likes money and their Marvel cash cow is making them tons of it. A clunker means what then? A slowdown on the comic book movie production maybe? Everyone (Fanboys especially) can pretend that every Marvel movie will be a hit, but no one is talking about what if they actually fail to reach the audience or actually have a movie the majority of moviegoers do not embrace? Once the first failure comes into play, the comic book market will change drastically. Many collectors have paid top dollar for a Marvel Premiere #47 (1979); the first appearance of the NEW Ant-Man (Scott Lang) and that seems to be a big risk to this speculator. A second rate character that never commanded the spotlight, but yet is being forced into one. Here’s the only way your Marvel Premiere #47 will get you a return. First, the movie has to show substantial gains and even then it does not equate to a big return. The second and more important trend to follow with Ant-Man is whether he will be on the new Avengers team after or during the Avengers Infinity War Parts 1 and 2 2018/2019. Will Phase 3 for Marvel lead into a new Avengers team? Robert, Chris, Scarlet, Mark, Samuel and the gang will not stay on forever. Will Dr. Strange, Black Panther, Ms. Marvel and Ant-Man make up for most of the new team? So if Scott Lang is to stick around for a while and play a major role within the Marvel Studio films, complete with toys and promotion, Marvel Premiere will hold its value. If Scotty is left by the wayside, a one and done, a poor showing at the ticket booth, well then Ant-Man is back to being, dare I say it? Small.

Marvel_Super_Heroes_1_InvestComics Squirrel_Girl_InvestComicsHere’s a mind boggling back issue I completely don’t understand. I urge anyway to please fill me in because I probably missed something. Marvel Super-Heroes #8 (1991). What is it with the first appearance of Squirrel Girl? A 9.8 signature series is at a buy it now price of $380?? What? Why?? Raw NM copies are selling for $90 or above. What gives here anyway? The only redeeming value I see is that Steve Ditko was the co-creator of the character. Yes THE Steve Ditko drew, wrote and inked the short story. With that, Unbeatable Squirrel Girl (2014) #1 debuts this Wednesday. Squirrel Girl’s first solo comic. That’s 24 years in the making. Look for the comic to sell out and get any of the variants signed and graded. If the new solo series takes off, look for Marvel Super-Heroes #8 to be an even more expensive get. This could be the next big female character aftermarket book.

InvestComics has been telling you for months about Spider-Verse. We got you the hot Gwen Stacy book and we will continue to inform collectors that they need to pick up every Spider-Verse book that comes out. There are simply too many Feathers_InvestComics Original_Sin_5_InvestComics
Easter eggs and introductions happening that it’s a good idea to just get this wonderful story. This week
Amazing Spider-Man (2014 3rd Series) #12 and Spider-Man 2099 (2014 2nd Series) #7 will continue the Spider-Verse saga. Read it and love it.

Operation Sin (2014 Marvel) #1 will focus its spotlight onto Woodrow McCord. Just in case this dude turns out to be an important player down the rode someday, you’ll want to get Original Sin #5 as that’s his first appearance.

Spider_2099_InvestComicsFans of the steampunk lure will have to grab a copy of Steam Tales (2014 Antarctic Press) #1. It’s sold out. Other great reads/number one issues to check out this week; Ixth Generation (2014 Image) #1, Feathers (2014 Boom) #1, and Wolverines (2014 Marvel) #1.

Invest wisely. Carpe Diem.

InvestComics Hot Picks – New Release Comics on 12/10/14

Lots of comics to cover this week. Hope you have your reading glasses handy and some cash in your pocket this Wednesday.

Uncanny_X-Men_59_InvestComics Spider_Man_Xmen_InvestComics Marvel_Team_Up_19_InvestComicsThe fun starts with Spider-Man and the X-Men (2014) #1. A team-up every fan always loves. This comic will feature the Jurassic Park storyline. Well not really, but it will have two characters from way back in time appear (way back in history time, not real time). Suaron and Stegron (aka the Dinosaur Man). If you’re in the market for a couple of easy gets, Marvel Team-Up #19 from 1974 features the first appearance of Stegron. The best part of this comic; Gil Kane on pencil duties and Len Wein on writing duties. Then you have the big bird (not that big bird) first appearance; Suaron first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #59 (1969). That book had Neil Adams on art duties and the team of Chris Claremont/Roy Thomas on script duties. So there you have it, C level first appearances from A level Legends from the industry. Those are purchases/signature series/graded comics waiting to happen. Not for resale value, for keepsake value. They may not rise in significant value at a quick rate, but they are collectors items because of the names attached.

With the Dr. Strange frenzy upon us within the speculation world, it’s funny how All New Ultimates (2014) #11 plays a part in this Dr_Strange_78_InvestComics Ultimates_Ecstasy_InvestComicsmadness ever so slightly this coming week. You see, the ultimate Ecstasy is making her second appearance in the Ultimate universe. Her first being the previous issue. Ecstasy first appeared with the Dr. Strange universe in 1986’s Dr. Strange #78. Now what does this mean to you? Well it means that if Marvel Studios reaches into their vast character library and pulls her out to be a part of the movie….well you know the rest. This comic as of right now is probably sitting in some 25 cent long box someplace. Not a bad investment here for a quarter right? If anyone finds a few for a quarter, be sure to send a couple to our PO Box as a thank you.

As always, if you’re a regular visitor to the InvestComics website, you will know that these Hot Pick articles have made many speculators turn over some serious cash. The recommendations and predictions that have come to fruition are boundless. There is simply NO other comic book website that has been doing this since 2005. None. In the new Earth 2 Worlds End (2014) #10 Darkseid will be wreaking havoc once again and once again I implore you to get his first appearance before it becomes too far out of reach (see Thanos, which InvestComics recommended many many years ago to buy). The first appearance of Darkseid comes with some ridiculous cameo/first full appearance mumbo-jumbo. As with Incredible Hulk #180/181 does, but with Darkseid, it works the way it’s suppose to work. The cameo in Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen #134 (1970) seems to pull more weight in some markets than does Forever People #1 (1971) which features his first FULL appearance. Nonsense really. A cameo is the absolute first appearance ever of a character, end of story. The cameo should always command more money. Not an arm, a leg, an eye, or a foot, a full body/full face AND more importantly the mention of their name. Wolverine first appeared in Hulk #180, that’s it. Darkseid first appears in Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen #134, that’s it. Let’s stop having the nonsense of the stronghold collectors in our hobby dictate what is what. A first look at someone is in fact their first appearance ever, not cameo or anything related to not recognizing the first appearance and that’s it. You can twist it twenty ways till Sunday, it’s their first appearance. Darkseid was mentioned by NAME in issue #134. He then went on to appear in the very next issue too! Yet Forever People #1 is labeled as First FULL appearance and commands some bucks. Wolverine was even mentioned by NAME in Hulk #180, what more do you need in that case too? Absurd. So anyway, getting off the soapbox now I will say that Jimmy Olsen #134 is a get. InvestComics recommended this comic as an extremely strong buy back in mid 2013 right HERE. Not only will you find the MUST buy here, but a Darkseid checklist too! Yes InvestComics is awesome we know.

Forever_People_1_InvestComics Superman_Jimmy_Olsen_InvestComics Earth_2_InvestComics

Spider-Verse Team Up (2014) #2 continues with the red hot Gwen Stacy Spider-Woman. InvestComics did inform you to buy the first Gwen Spidey here on InvestComics Hot Picks right? Oh yes yes of course we did! Anytime anyone wants to donate some hot recommendations to InvestComics, the PO Box is below! Haha! You’ll get a mention on here too, a plug, whatever you want!

Harley_Quinn_InvestComics Spider_Man_InvestComicsAlthough only one comic is completely sold out this week at Diamond, a few are right on the cusp. Let’s do a quick roundup here. Devil’s Due has a hit on their hands with Solitary (2014) #1. The cover is very reminiscent of the cooled down, but once red hot Adventures of Superman #14. Sinergy (2014 Image) #2 is a sold out comic walking. If you’re a fan, get it before it goes to the second print. Look for Bitch Planet (2014) #1 to sell out as well. A fantastic creative team delves into the woman’s prison system. Sounds like a hoot! The popular East of West gets a new number issue; East of West The World (2014) #0. And it’s sold out already. While Magdalena has always been popular among fans and a fun read, it never did or does well in the spectator market. Magdalena Seventh Sacrament (2014 Image) #1 will sell out and no one in the aftermarket will care. Erik Larsen pulls out all the stops with his nearly sold out anniversary comic; Savage Dragon (1993 2nd Series) #200. A few variant covers accompany this milestone issue. Congrats to one of the hardest working creators in the industry; Erik Larsen. Avatar has quietly put together a nice intelligent read comic series with God is Dead. This week however, God is Dead (2013 Avatar) #25 will have a double sized, new story arc jumping on point. So what are you waiting for? Jump on. Nothing like have some squirrels kick some ass in a comic book. Check out Squarriors (2014 Devils Due) #1 for some reading and squirrels kicking ass. Harley Quinn + number one issue = a hot comic; Harley Quinn Holiday Special (2014) #1. Although this doesn’t give any hints of significance or smell like a funny cigarette, so don’t expect anything to smell too good from this one but a very awesome Harley book.

Gwen_Stacy_Spider_Woman_InvestComics Savage_Dragon_200_InvestComics Solitary_InvestComics

And wrapping up, here are some must read and gets from the number one issue market; The Valiant (2014 Valiant) #1, Guardians of the Galaxy (2013 3rd Series) Annual #1, Amazing Spider-Man (2014 3rd Series) Annual #1, Uncanny X-Men (2013 3rd Series) Annual #1, Eternal (2014 Boom) #1, and Itty Bitty Bunnies Cock Fight (2014) #1.

InvestComics; PO Box 22621, West Palm Beach FL 33416.

See you soon. Invest wisely.

InvestComics Hot Picks – New Release Comics on 9/17/14

HP91714_ICPICS (4)We’re back from the Baltimore Comic Con last week. Good show. Our man Rafael “Doc” Rosario will have an in-depth look into all of the shows that InvestComics has covered this year. Look for that article after we do one of our final shows at the New York Comic Con!

Has anyone noticed lately that Archie Comics have made it onto the InvestComics Hot Picks more often than not these days? And for good reason too. Archie Comics has brought readers Kevin Keller; the first openly gay character, zombie Archie, the death of Archie, and then Kevin Keller as the first openly gay superhero in Riverdale, and they also are bringing a new “serious/dark” imprint called Dark Circle. Each and every one of these comics not only brought readers some great material, but also a return on their investment as well. If the speculator listened to InvestComics, they would have bought and sold the aforementioned comics in a quick fashion as suggested, thus making some extra cash. I informed the readers of this column a few articles ago that the Kevin Keller #14 Variant cover (Dark Knight) was one of those comics to grab and flip. It was not only a hard variant to get a hold of, not only a fantastic homage cover to Frank Miller, but it was Kevin Keller’s first appearance as a superhero. This would mark Archie Comics’ first openly gay superhero. So is this a silly one shot story Archie will be going with? Well by the looks of it, Archie Comics is hitting full throttle here. Check out the homage cover this week on Kevin Keller (2012 Archie) #15. Yes this cover has been used so many times I have even lost count (Uncanny X-Men #141 -1981). Doesn’t matter here HP91714_ICPICS (5)though, this homage cover is SOLD OUT already. Kevin Keller and Archie Comics are hitting their stride. Best be on top of this. With their imprint Dark Circle coming too, you best be on top of that as well.

Sticking on topic for a minute here, Archie Comics releases Sonic the Hedgehog (1993- Ongoing Series) #264. This issue debuts Sonic the Werehog. Look at the awesome cover. Archie Comics is bringing it.

Marvel fans will have a new epic saga to follow this week on top of the Spider-Verse saga. This one is called “Time Runs Out”. It’s an eight month jump ahead in the Avengers title. What this means exactly I’m still a bit confused. Nonetheless, the big story begins in Avengers (2012 5th Series) #35.

A couple of debuts within the Marvel Universe maybe you’d want to check out. Daredevil (2014 4th Series) #8 has the first look at the Purple Children. Yes that’s correct, Purple Children. Then you have Kurn in Superior Spider-Man (2012) #33. Yes Kurn. I don’t make this up, I really don’t.

How about Gwen Stacy as Spider-Gwen in Edge of Spider-Verse (2014 Marvel) #2? Yes, I really really don’t make this up.

Thor God of Thunder (2012) #25 will have a bunch of very talented creators all over it in this extra sized issue. The All New X-Men (2012) #32 cover pays homage to Uncanny X-Men #139 (1980). Funny thing that Archie Comics is paying homage to a cover that appeared two issues later (Uncanny X-Men #141) this week.

Legend George Perez will debut his new series; Sirens (2014 Dynamite) #1. If you happen to be in the South Florida area on September 30th George Perez will be at Tate’s Comics in Fort Lauderdale between the hours of 5-7pm. He will be signing his new Sirens book and hanging with fans. InvestComics will be there!

Some other comics to definitely check out; Itty Bitty Bunnies in Rainbow Pixie Candy Land Save X-mas (2014) #1, Storyteller Witches (2014 Boom) #1, and Oddly Normal (2014) #1.

Invest wisely. Carpe Diem.
